Remote Behavior Consulting

The COVID-19 pandemic has us shifting to working with our clients remotely.  In person, we spend most of our time teaching and coaching vs actually handling client dogs, so although we miss seeing you and your dog in person, we would love to show you how effective working with us remotely can be!  For those that are having a hard time imagining how this would work, we have made a couple of videos with highlights from real sessions (scroll down to find those).  Click the button below to send us a scheduling request (current clients now schedule remote follow up sessions online as usual).

  • Almost any behavior can be addressed – if you need an in person session, we will tell you that, and help with safety and management in the meantime
  • Establish the foundations before the added distraction and stress of having a stranger in the home
  • Scheduling can be more flexible
  • Access to professional knowledge and skills without risking the health of your family
  • Access to the recording of your session in addition to the case notes and handouts we always send, so you can reference it as needed
  • The best part – we won’t judge if you are in your PJs

How can I participate in remote behavior consulting?

If you have a good high speed internet connection or data service to a device with video and microphone capabilities (phone, laptop, tablet) you should be able to meet with us!  We send you a link to join the meeting, where we will be able to see and talk with each other.  Some devices may need to download an app – you will be prompted when you click the link, so just click it a few minutes before the first meeting in case you need to do that.  Be sure to allow your device to share video and audio.

What should I expect when working with you remotely?

We are developing new services geared for remote meetings.  These will include both private and group options. We will continue to offer recorded seminars covering potty training, foundations and dog body language.  You can purchase these under the schedule tab at any time.

Private sessions will be similar to what we would do in person.  We will discuss your dog’s behavior, your goals, set up a safety and management plan and work on foundations in the first meeting.  You will get follow up with with links to the recording of the session, your case notes, handouts and other media that will help you understand what we went over and what to practice.  Follow up sessions are 60 or 30 minutes, based on how often you prefer to meet, once every week or two.

Group sessions will vary based on the topic.  They will have a social component, where you can post and discuss information with others in the class, this will usually be hosted in a private Facebook group.  You will have the opportunity to work with your instructor live throughout the class.  Supplements handouts, media and activities will all be provided.

What will remote meetings cost?

Initial Private Session – Remote – 60 to 90 min – $150

Follow Up Private Session – Remote – 60 min – $100

Follow Up Private Session – Remote – 30 min – $60
