Meet Bethany:

Bethany Johnson completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Evansville where she studied Theatre Education and Visual Arts.  She has been working as a substitute teacher since 2016.  She has also been a kid sitter for the last 5 years, and she worked full time as a nanny prior to working in the school system.

She loves animals, and pet sitting has been a natural extension of her work with children. She is patient and kind with both people and animals – and thrives in the caretaker role.  She shares the positive and force free handling philosophy that those who have worked with Delighted Dog Training Academy expect.  She is a member of Pet Sitters International, and is actively working toward her Certified Professional Pet Sitter credential (CPPS).

Bethany currently shares her home with Mags, the greyhound, her cats, and Wednesday, the rabbit.  She originally kept bunnies for the fertilizer for her organic garden and fell in love with their silly faces. She also grew up with a sweet retriever named Elsa, who she still visits often.  She loves to go for long walks with dogs, and get lots of snuggles when pet sitting. When she’s not taking care of children, plants, and pets, she aspires to be a knitwear designer.
